How many simulation runs do I need to reflect on? Just 1.You can do the simulation up to 3 times, but that is just to increase your learning. It is up to you which run you pick to reflect on.
Does it matter how I performed in the simulation? Not at all. What matters is your reflection on your performance. You will notlose or gain any marks by getting fired or making lots of profit.
What is the wordcount? 1000-1500 words for the reflection. The wordcount excludes references, appendices.
Should I use evidence from the simulation? Yes! Place screen shots, tables etc. in the appendix and discuss them in words in your reflection to provide evidence to your performance claims.
Should I use theory from the course only or external sources? Use of theory is very important to support your analyses and recommendations. It doesn’t matter where this theory comes from.
Do I need to cite the simulation (reading?). No. Use it as evidence, but no need to add a full reference to it everytime you discuss it.
Is there a recommended structure? No. Just make sure you reflect on the 3 areas: performance, what worked/didn’t work, what you can do better next time.
Can I access the simulation and data at anytime until submission? Yes, but be aware that once you concluded a run and started a new one, it wipes your old results. So make sure you download/copy all the data in the simulation while you are playing it.
Do you have any helpful tips? Keep notes on why you made certain decisions when you are making those decisions. It will be of great help in conducting your reflection. Use the data provided by the simulation to understand the outcomes of your strategic choices.
Make sure you set a strategy and performance indicators before you play.
